The Schiavetti firm started the year off in impressive fashion, notching three consecutive victories. Maureen Arciero achieved a defense verdict in a case where there was an alleged failure to properly treat and care for a 69 year old resident, resulting in the development of pressure ulcers warranting hospitalization, multiple debridements, sepsis and death. Following Ms. Arciero’s performance, Richard Nicholson secured a defense verdict in a case involving an alleged improper positioning during robotic hysterectomy leading to chronic sciatic pain, which was alleged to be permanent. Not to be outdone by his colleagues, Carl Weinberg followed suit and was victorious in a case where there was an alleged failure to recognize child abuse, resulting in additional fractures. Three resounding victories in a row, talk about starting off the New Year on the right foot!
