Congratulations to David Sisskind for his most recent defense verdict! The 43 year old plaintiff’s case centered around an allegedly negligent bariatric surgery, after which she underwent 30 subsequent surgical procedures, including a complete gastrectomy, splenectomy and gastro-jenunostomy. Plaintiff’s counsel, Robert F. Danzi, demanded $3.5 million to settle the case and asked $5 million of the jury.

David Sisskind secured a defense verdict today in a case involving alleged negligent failure to appreciate a post-operative bleed and failure to identify and remove a laparotomy sponge. The plaintiff was represented by Michael Noonan Esq.

David Sisskind recently prevailed on a case involving lead poisoning of an infant claimant and the subsequent cognitive impairment of the child. A Rockland County jury found in favor of the defendant. The legal counsel representing the plaintiff was the Fitzgerald Law Firm.

David Sisskind obtained a defense verdict defending against an alleged failure to perform and properly advise plaintiff to undergo a cervical cerclage to treat an incompetent causing premature birth and ensuing harm. Trial took place in Bronx County Supreme Court. Plaintiff’s attorney was Stephen Erickson of Pegalis and Erickson LLP.

Defending an action alleging negligence performance of cesarean section resulting in massive hemorrhage requiring an emergency hysterectomy, David Sisskind obtained a defense verdict in the Kings County Supreme Court.
